Manufacturing Assembler

*4-day work week* Monday – Thursday, Fridays off!

Work in Millstadt, IL in a climate controlled facility.

The Production Assembler is required to follow work instructions, assemble various manufactured products, and meet established production and quality standards. Reviews and maintains minimum inventory levels for all parts of the Department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Follow work instructions for all assembled products.
  • Assemble sub-assemblies to complete units in production and completes assemble of various models of stretchers which meet established production and quality standards; requires the use of power tools.
  • Complete quality inspections and submits non-conformance documentation.
  • Ensure production and quality standards are met throughout the production process.
  • Monitor parts supplies to ensure inventory meets production needs; notify Lead before the threshold of minimum inventory levels are met.
  • Move supplies and products to the assembly area.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Ability to use hand tools safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to adhere to a strict timeline and be punctual.
  • Ability to read and understand shop drawings, specifications, and parts lists.
  • Must pass Skills Assessment for Tape Measure and Power Tools.

PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Continuously standing, walking, bending, squatting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and twisting in the normal course of work.
  • Frequently lifting, handling, and maneuvering 85 lbs.
  • Frequently using hands. Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands.
  • Hand-eye coordination in the normal course of work using hand/power tools.

  • Climate-controlled exceptionally clean factory environment.

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

  • Good work ethic
  • Good attitude and adapts effectively to change.
  • Previous warehouse/shipping/material handling a plus
  • Self-motivated.
