SHIPPING AND PACKAGING HANDLER:

Mac Medical, Inc. is looking for a Shipping and Packaging Handler to create custom packaging (box, shrink wrap, pallet) for all sorts of stainless medical equipment. Shipping and Packaging Handlers must be self-sufficient with little, to no direct supervision. Must have good physical dexterity, be able to lift, push, and or pull up to 70 lbs. Must be detail-oriented and time conscious.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Clean and prep product for shipping using extreme caution not to damage or scratch product.
  • Create custom pallets/boxes for different types of products.
  • Operates the stretch wrap machine and uses handheld shrink wrap to package products.
  • Performs quality inspections on products prior to shipment. Rejects all non-conforming products.
  • Matches work orders to shipping papers and complete any labels required for products.
  • Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to move materials to proper staging areas or racks.
  • Loads and unloads products on trucks using Forklift.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to read measurements and determine the proper size of the custom pallet/box needed for secure shipping.
  • Must be willing to pass Forklift Certification
  • Familiar with pallet jacks, dolly, etc.,
  • Must be proficient with power tools, such as (but not limited to) drill, pneumatic tools, nailers, staplers, and power saws.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively, work with others in a fast-paced team environment
  • Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the entire shift.

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

  • Good work ethic
  • Good attitude and adapts effectively to change.
  • Previous warehouse/shipping/material handling a plus
  • Self-motivated.
