Senior Engineer

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work directly with Management to develop new products that meet or exceed regulatory and compliance standards for FDA, NSF, UL, CSA, etc.
- Responsible for ensuring that engineering changes are completed in a timely manner
- Responsible for ensuring that engineering changes accurately convey all information about the change to the necessary audience
- Initializes Design History Files and Device Master Records as well as all other documentation required for FDA and all other agencies.
- Responsible for creating and/or modifying CAD models as necessary
- Develops physical and functional test requirements to ensure specifications and regulations are met then creates all documentation.
- Understands and follows company procedures on regulatory requirements.
- Prepares and submits for approval requests for project funding. Participates in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and tracking.
- Prepares and presents oral and written project updates and technical discussions.
- Develops initial assembly instructions for the technical writer
- Define quality control criteria and safety guidelines
- Research and source any new items
- Manage test builds
- Manage preliminary testing
- Manage weight/cost matrices
- Request production quotes
*Above may not be all-inclusive. All Mac Medical Employees are expected to perform any additional duties as necessary. The Senior Engineer will also perform the duties of a Product Development Engineer as needed. Duties and responsibilities may change at any time based on the needs of the company.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates, Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering
- Proficient in SolidWorks, especially sheet metal
Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment - Highly detail-oriented and organized in work
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines and work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on good customer service to customers and colleagues.
