Work in Millstadt, IL in a climate controlled facility.

SUMMARY:

A Master Production Schedulers responsibility is to maintain production and shipping schedules based on requirements and material availability to ensure a smooth flow of production throughout the facility to meet customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Establish and maintain production schedules for fabrication and assembly based on customer requirements
  • Review planned production orders and release them to the shop floor. Make completion date changes as needed.
  • Review the status of the production schedule with area supervision and leads and make adjustments to scheduled completion dates as needed. Take action to alleviate bottleneck work centers.
  • Review and act on exception, negatives, and cancellation messages from the ERP system.
  • Expedite fabricated components for production orders and parts sales orders to maintain schedules.
  • Control the execution of the MRP system.
  • Provide Purchasing with a notice on long lead purchased components.
  • Proactively establish and maintain fabricated component inventory levels that support the factory build schedule.
  • Provide customer service with planned completion and ship dates for new orders then advise of any changes to existing completion and ship dates.
  • Enter stock projects as needed with input from customer service.

Execute and improve the fabricated component inventory investment processes related to:

  • Strategic finished goods stocking levels
  • Kanban item resizing
  • Excess and Obsolete
  • Safety Stock
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have HS Diploma or GED. Prefer Associates
  • Must have the ability to evaluate and analyze production needs/requirements.
  • Must be familiar with workflow processes and timelines.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain a variety of specialized complex files, catalogs, and records.
  • Must be proficient with computers and use of software applications, especially ERP systems.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both oral and written; understand and carry out oral and written directions.
  • Must have experience as a Master Production Scheduler

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
