Robotic Welder Operator

*This position operates on a 4-day / 10-hour shift (Monday – Thursday). Fridays off!

The Robotic Operator is responsible for changing the tooling per the print requirements and ensuring all tooling performs periodic quality inspection checks on the product output and visually inspect the finished product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for the next step in the production process. They are also responsible for making sure the machines are working properly by conducting pre-work inspections, working at full capacity, and well maintained – performs preventative maintenance per machine recommendations. Must stock needed materials for production schedule and utilize production time efficiently for best production results.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Produce parts according to print specifications and scheduling requirements.
  • Must be cognizant of how different materials react to pressure, heat and shaping procedures.
  • Inspect the materials produced for quality and conformance prior to the release to the end-users, correct any inconsistencies or reject for non-conformance.
  • Keep machinery and work area clean and orderly.

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

  • Previous experience with robotic welding preferred, but not essential.
  • Basic knowledge and ability with Mig and Tig welding required.
  • Responsibilities include setup, operation and maintenance of robotic equipment.
  • Tasks include lifting, loading parts into equipment, grinding sanding and finishing parts; inspection of finished work and teamwork.
  • Motivated individuals interested in quick turn manufacturing.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Lift, carry, push and or pull 1 – 50 lbs. frequently.
  • Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
  • Sit, stand, and walk for 1 – 8 hours per day.
