Stainless Steel Countertops
Our Stainless Steel Countertops are fabricated from type 300 series stainless steel. The underside is reinforced with channels and coated with sound deadening mastic, sink included. Marine edges are provided for our counters containing sinks. Sinks are fabricated (not drawn) from type 300 series stainless steel with a 5/8″ cove corner, laser etched gallon markings, positive pitch towards drain, and are integrally welded to top. A 4″ backsplash is standard with optional side splashes. Please consult MAC Medical for custom sizes meeting any and all architectural requirements. Our countertops are fabricated in one piece where design and materials permit.

Advantages of Stainless Steel Countertops
- Hygiene and Cleanliness:
- Non-porous Surface: Stainless steel is a non-porous material, meaning it does not absorb liquids, bacteria, or viruses. This is essential in environments where maintaining sterile conditions is critical to preventing infections and cross-contamination.
- Easy to Clean: The smooth surface of stainless steel countertops can be quickly wiped down, sanitized, and disinfected, making them ideal for environments where strict sanitation protocols are followed.
- Resistance to Bacteria: Stainless steel surfaces do not provide a breeding ground for harmful bacteria, unlike porous materials like wood or granite.
- Durability and Strength:
- Long-lasting: Stainless steel countertops can withstand heavy use without showing signs of wear. They are resistant to dents, scratches, and impacts, which is important in high-traffic settings.
- Heat Resistance: Stainless steel can withstand high temperatures, making it suitable for areas where hot instruments or equipment might be used.
- Corrosion Resistance:
- Stainless steel is highly resistant to corrosion, even in environments with frequent exposure to moisture or harsh cleaning chemicals. This is especially important where equipment and surfaces are regularly cleaned with strong disinfectants.
- Chemical Resistance:
- Stainless steel is resistant to most cleaning agents, solvents, and acids, ensuring that countertops do not degrade or discolor over time.
- Safety:
- Stainless steel is a fire-resistant material, adding an extra layer of safety in environments where there may be exposure to chemicals or hot equipment.
- Aesthetic and Modern Look:
- Stainless steel countertops provide a clean, sleek, and professional appearance, contributing to a sterile and modern environment as required. The reflective surface can also brighten up spaces, which is often an advantage in medical settings.
Note: All countertops are sold separately and installed by others along with any plumbing fixtures
